The type of LED screens depends of viewing distance. There are many types of pixel pitch P10, P8, P6, P4, P3, P2.5.
For the P3, pixel pitch is 3mm.

A led screen is a modular system, where in the set of modules has a very high number of LEDs. The manufacturer uses techniques and quality of materials so that the reliability is the best possible, however 0x∞ is not zero. In a system of 40,000€ a loss of 40€ is expected per year. Therefore the system must be handled with care with ESD protections.
In addition, redundancy must be added so that the system is always ready to work without failure. By adding a redundant "cabinet" the system is always ready to work without failure, since the failure rate is much smaller than a "cabinet" and the system continues to work even when some leds fail.
